And I do wanna just take a second to say thank you to everyone who has supported me and loved on me for the year that I was gone. Listen, 2022 had the high of the highs, but also the low of the lows,  and I'm just very grateful that I am in a position where I could give myself that grace… because that's my thing.

Grant yourself grace. Okay. I'm very happy that I was in a space to grant myself the grace that I needed to get the healing that I needed to get the help that I needed. And I learned so much last year on my journey that I can't wait to share with y'all. So let's just say season five…this is very, very special and I'm very grateful to have you a part of it.

And since it's so special, right? Since it's so special, let's go right into what I wanna talk about today, which is mindfulness.

Now I know you're probably thinking Tiffany, everybody is talking about mindfulness. I am beat over the head with mindfulness. And I agree. I mean, at least that's how I feel. Right? So if you were to tell me that, I feel you, but , what I've noticed is when I have clients that tell me they have issues with practicing their mindfulness or practicing their meditation, it makes me realize that they don't really understand what mindfulness.

So if that's you, don't worry because we are gonna be going  over

what mindfulness is, the benefits that it has over our lives, as well as doing a mindfulness practice together.

 So what is mindfulness? Everyone has their own explanation. I'm going to say that mindfulness is just your ability to be in the present moment with intention, right? It's your opportunity to say, this is what I'm gonna focus on, and that's it. Recognize that I didn't say that this was gonna be an easy thing. Mindfulness is very simple. It's just not an easy thing.

So the way I want you to think about it  is where your intention goes is where your attention flows, Where you put your intention is where you'll put your attention. Very simple. And what people think when they think about mindfulness is that they have to stop their thoughts, clear their mind. That's not what mindfulness is Guys.

Mindfulness is your ability to bring yourself to the present moment, regardless what thoughts, regardless what, environmental actions are happening around you.

and It's important to understand that because once you do understand that you can practice mindfulness anywhere, like it's really nice to have the, the whole spa kind of treatment and the nice music and the incense and all that stuff. That's great.

But whether you have  a spa-like environment, your own bedroom or a chaotic city center, You are absolutely capable of practicing mindfulness.

Okay? The benefits of practicing mindfulness are substantial. Okay. I would be here all day if I was listing everything that mindfulness can actually do for our bodies, and not only just like our mental health, but also our physical health, like boost immune systems improves concentration and focus, reduces anxiety, reduces depression, reduces blood pressure.

Like these are just things that I'm thinking off the top of my head but truly there is so much that your wellbeing can benefit. And that's the reason why I really wanted to start off this series with this specific topic. Not only that, but when we talk about practicing mindfulness, which we are about to, you're gonna see there's tons of different ways.

So how do we practice mindfulness, right? , there's no one way. truly what it is, is you allowing yourself to be in this space where for the next however many seconds or minutes, whatever your timeframe is, right?

Cuz you can practice your mindfulness for as little as 60 seconds if you want to.

But what's really important is that for this duration of time, I am going. Allow my thoughts to flow. I am not gonna allow myself to get too emotionally invested or attached to the thoughts that are just passing by.

So there are numerous ways to practice mindfulness. Okay. A bunch.

 You can practice mindfulness when you're doing your dishes. You can practice mindfulness when you're brushing your teeth. You can practice mindfulness when you are going on a walk.

You know, you don't have to be in these strict settings of just sitting down with your legs crossed, does that work? Absolutely. But the point that we're driving home today is the fact that you can practice mindfulness anywhere.

So in the future, I'm gonna be showing you how to practice mindfulness in all these different ways. But today what I wanted to show you is how we practice mindfulness. Just by doing what we already do here at Affirm Your Abundance, just by affirming our greatness and affirming the good things in our lives, we are practicing mindfulness.

So I invite you to join me for the next few moments as we complete a mindfulness practice together.

The affirmations that we're gonna be saying today specifically are the affirmations that's gonna help us in times where we don't wanna practice our mindfulness.

Because we know that this is good for us, right?

We've already talked about what it is, how it benefits us, and how easy it is to do. So when we're having those moments where we just don't wanna do it…. I invite you to say these after me to get you in a good place and get started.

So if you're in a safe spot and you're comfortable, feel free to close your eyes or lower your gaze. If not, then allow yourself to just feel the impact of the words and the truth of the words that we will be affirming. Thoughts are gonna come and it's up to you to let them go. You don't have to get too attached to them. You are not your thought. All I want you to do is focus on my voice, breath, and repeating the affirmations that you hear.

 Take a deep inhale in through the nose,

and gently exhale out through the mouth.

and repeat this affirmation after me.

 I choose to lead my life with love.

I am worthy of this moment to myself.

I am worthy of this peace within.

I am committed to my mental wellness practice.

future me will thank me.
